Our Track Record
Confluence, then known as APP International, first ventured away from the Australian shore in 1991. Since then we have progressively extended our reach, and now operate across many countries on four continents. A number of them are developing economies where the physical and social environments can be challenging for owners and developers. Confluence ensures that in these more difficult project locations our team can hit the ground running and deliver projects despite inherent risks and potential obstacles. Confluence clients have often sought our project management services to support their developments in new region - our ability to quickly assimilate to new environments has underpinned our successful expansion in each of our regions.
Our business is one of intangibles. We deliver a project management service where the true benefit of our involvement is difficult to quantify. But, there are some telling statistics related to our professional service business that demonstrates our success and how we achieve it.
Over sixty five per cent of our business is generated from clients we have worked with before, and we are lucky enough to be generally awarded repeat business through direct negotiation.
Much of our business comes as a result of projects that have been started by one of our competitors, but later replaced and delivered by Confluence. High profile, current examples of this situation include:
- Grand Hyatt Bali
- 80 storey 'The Index' building in Dubai, designed by Lord Norman Foster
- The Hyatt Churchill - London
- The Park Inn (Radisson Group) – Heathrow
- DIFC Gate Village - Dubai
We are proud to be able to recover projects for clients, and deliver scheduling, costing, and quality control solutions even under the most difficult circumstances.
