Our Legacy
In the interest of all staff and other people with whom we work, our policy is to always endeavour to improve safety standards in all our activities. Many countries in which we operate have poor industry skills, little tertiary training and poor site safety. Our hard won experience in developing economies such India and Indonesia has heightened our awareness of site safety. At Confluence we believe that our involvement in projects carries a moral obligation to improve the safety for the site labour. Our ‘best practice’ standards may mean that our safety requirements are greater than local standards. We empower our project managers to ensure we achieve our safety objectives by:
- Implementing realistic safety standards
- Maintaining records of injuries
- Creating a construction or refurbishment site safety team to monitor work place safety standards
- Educating contractors and workers in the importance of safe work practices
- Working with contractors to develop method statements for all dangerous works
Confluence aims to be remembered for more than just setting new standards in site safety. Our ambition is to raise the benchmark in quality, training and professionalism for every project we undertake, and in so doing deliver better project outcomes for our clients.
