Confluence, then known as APP International, was appointed in early 2002 to project manage the construction of a new Chancery building in New Delhi. Shortly following our appointment, it became apparent that the allocated budget provision for the desired scope was insufficient and Confluence was required to assist with the re-scoping of the project prior to presentation of the project to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works (PWC).
While the major component of this project is the delivery of a new Permanent Chancery building for the Australian High Commission, Confluence has also managed the staged delivery a series of integrated project elements including :
- An Interim Chancery for the occupying agencies
- Temporary recreational facilities
- Three units of residential accommodation
- Five new guardhouses and perimeter security walling
- Sundry work
All works have been conducted on the secure and occupied compound which has required close liaison with the Post at each stage of the project.
