Time at Confluence
I joined the Confluence team in Abu Dhabi in March 2008, I remember my first day…..and rest has been a blur! Thankfully I’m part of a great project team and have good support from Rowan.
Typical Day
Everyday we start with a project delivery team meeting and then my day is a mix of design, procurement or contractor meetings; phone calls; problem solving workshops; e-mails and administration to cover a project team working in 4 time zones 7 days a week. Usually by a Thursday we have managed to get everyone realigned, only to come back in on a Sunday and start again with clearing up problems the team members in construction team (working 24/7), USA, UK, Holland and Austria have encountered over our weekend.
Life Outside Work
I spend as much of my spare time on, in or under the water; I’ve been a PADI instructor for 7 years (retired from teaching now), hold a power boat license and love swimming. Also I go horse riding every week, and have a passion for photography, reading and travel.
