Confluence growth continues with acquisition of pcm

Saturday, 20 December 2008

John Taylor, Founder and Chairman of Confluence said "coming together with pcm was a 'right time, right place' opportunity; it has an excellent client and project portfolio in the UK."  He said, "of utmost importance is the compatible culture of the two companies.  From the initial meeting it was clear we were speaking the same language."

Combining the two companies results in a diverse and highly skilled offering of management to the property and construction industries.  The two companies services and systems are well aligned, with both offering project, design and construction management as their core business, with pcm also offering compliance services.

pcm has a track record of successful engagements in the UK.  Equally, Confluence is an international organisation known for taking on and successfully delivering complex and challenging iconic projects.

Geoff Heppell, newly appointed UK Country Manager of Confluencepcm said "together our two companies present a formidable team with the ability to develop our service offering to clients.  Confluence's international network and depth of experience complements our proven track record of quality services to the UK market."

Having a strong presence throughout the Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern Regions, Confluence had been considering an acquisition in the UK to boost its local team and develop a niche in the UK market.  Confluence will also use this opportunity to introduce to the UK market their programming, planning and contract services through ConfluenceTBH.

Brian Kooyman, Director of ConfluenceTBH said "our vast experience in programming and construction dispute services will be a valuable addition to the UK market.  I am looking forward to working with Geoff (Heppell) and his team as we expand our global presence.

With pcm staff relocating to Confluence offices in Canary Wharf over the Christmas period the company will deliver a 'business as usual' offering when it returns after the Christmas and New Year holiday period on 5th January 2009.

Confluencepm will continue to focus its attention on its already established operations in London, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.
