In June this year, Formula One announced that Abu Dhabi would be given the rights to enter the world-famous Circuit with the UAE’s first race taking place in October 2009 on Yas Island.
Part of the commitment to holding the race in Abu Dhabi is for ALDAR to have specified facilities in place, including eight track-side hotels to be operational by September 2009.
Based largely on its reputation for delivery, Confluence has been appointed as executive Project Managers for the delivery of the Island’s seven-star hotel, and seven other prestige hotels.
These hotels comprise the forward packages in a planned development of what will be 22 hotels along with substantial facilities including the Ferrari World theme park.
The considerable project will be fast-tracked due to the short timeframe for completion, and is a great start to the expansion of Confluence’s Abu Dhabi office.
The expert bid team comprised Project Manager Brian Fisher, Business Manager Todd Selby and GM Middle East, Eddie Sammut. Brian has joined forces with Mike Malak, Gary Logan, Russel Ferguson, Gary Salmon and Marilou Panganoron to instigate the project initiation, with several other new starters to join the team shortly.
Confluence is one of the largest independent project management consultancies in the Middle East working with blue-chip clients across industry sectors. It also operates in Europe and Asia through its other regional offices delivering project management solutions across the globe.
