Project Overview:
Marina Bay Sands® in Singapore’s downtown is Asia’s premier business, leisure and entertainment destination. Built over 15.5ha of reclaimed land, the development features three 55-storey (200m) cascading hotel towers capped by the extraordinary Sands SkyPark®. It also incorporates a combination of retail, celebrity chef restaurants, exciting nightclubs, two theaters, the ArtScience Museum, and an expo and convention centre capable of accommodating 45,000 delegates.
Situation/Challenges:
- meeting the aggressive project timeline;
- overcoming complex design structures including the towers, two crystal pavilions, the lotus museum and Sands Skypark cantilever which is the longest of its kind;
- supervision and coordination of 15,000 construction workers at its peak in 2007
Outcome/Results:
As an alliance partner of the Marina Bay Sands project management team, Confluence and our CTBH planning and programming team played an integral role in building this iconic integrated resort. Our services included expert project and construction management along with specialist planning and programming of the SkyPark landscape and retail fit-out.
