Project Overview:

IKEA appointed Confluence on their first project in 1999, a new build store in Glasgow.  The partnership has continued with new stores, warehouses, extensions and mezzanine rebuilds throughout the United Kingdom.

Situation/Challenges:

With each new IKEA scheme, the challenges get bigger.  The project team encountered ‘back to back’ new build stores with the finish of Belfast and then moving onto  the commencement of Southampton the very next month.

Outcome/Results:

Finishing projects on time, or better still within record time, and within budget is always a rewarding outcome to deliver for our clients, and the IKEA projects exceeded results.  The client remarked that completion of the Belfast development was the smoothest handover experienced in fifteen years.
