Australian High Commission, Singapore

Project Overview:

Building on Confluence’s successful relationship with the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Confluence was appointed for the midlife upgrade of the Australian High Commission in Singapore.

Situation/Challenges:

The Australian High Commission in Singapore was completed in 1977 and has not had any comprehensive major refurbishment works since then. Due to the age of the building and its engineering services, the building no longer met the requirements of a contemporary representational facility and its layout of the occupant’s fit-out and the arrangement of various core and support units did not provide the optimum level of functionality, security and occupational health and safety requirements.

Outcome/Results:

Significant midlife upgrade and refurbishment to its functional spaces and services infrastructure were carried out in stages to permit the continued occupation and operation of the Chancery throughout the whole duration of the works. The project was delivered on time and within budget.
