Project Overview:
Confluence managed the current Australian Embassy’s development that was built on a Greenfield site in Phnom Penh.
The project involved the construction of a new embassy compound consisting a 3-storey chancery (approximately 2,550sqm) of ‘A’ grade office quality, two guard houses, perimeter security fencing, car parking, covered walkways and hard and soft landscaping.
Situation/Challenges:
Overcoming limitations of the Cambodian construction industry including its trade local practices, logistical procurement challenges and achieving the desired level of quality through local contractors.
Outcome/Results:
Confluence provided project management and superintendency services, including supervision of completion of the design process, tendering, contract negotiation and awarding, and construction administration.
The project was delivered on time, and under budget.
