Project Overview:

Confluence was initially engaged to assist in the procurement of a Design Build Data Centre Contractor. The scope included input and evaluation during the bid process, negotiations with the contractors to ensure the Client’s specialist requirements were incorporated with the design, and keeping the budget as low as possible.

Situation/Challenges:

Through Confluence’s experience with similar appointments, well-documented history of market fees, changes and margin, the team was able to achieve an 8% reduction of the overall construction cost.

Outcome/Results:

The Client subsequently engaged Confluence in the implementation of the data centre construction, monitoring progress, cost, change management, quality and project risks to ensure the end product is a ‘fit for purpose’ Tier 3+ Data Centre.

Confluence’s role was later extended to oversee the delivery of their new Asian Headquarters, located in the Data Centre building.
