Project Overview:

ConfluenceTBH was engaged by the main contractor to develop a detailed construction programme for the WTC II construction works. The programme details all the salient procurement, demolition and construction which comprises of more than 5,000 activities required to complete the WTC II project.

Additionally, ConfluenceTBH will also be providing ongoing planning and programming support for the WTC II construction works, including the ongoing update of progress, maintenance of the working programme, and preparation and analysis of progress through monthly planning reports.

Situation/Challenges:

The World Trade Centre II is located in Jalan Sudirman in Jakarta. It was originally constructed in1996 but all works ceased in 1997 during the Asian financial crisis. PT Jakarta Land purchased the property and appointed Balfour Beatty Sakti Construction as the main contractor. The building structure has been redesigned and construction is scheduled to commence in 2010.

Outcome/Results:

Upon completion, the 57,000sqm building will house Grade A office space, spread over 30 floors, 1,000 space basement parking facility and a large 4,000sqm retail centre.

The Building and Construction Authority of Singapore has accredited the WTC building design as meeting the Green Mark, making WTC II one of the first developments in Jakarta to qualify for this rating.
